The Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership was established in 2021 and built on the foundation of the MURRA Indigenous Business Masterclass, the first executive level program designed for Indigenous business owners. MURRA has since graduated over 250 alumni, many of whom are now in senior roles across the country. Dilin Duwa was created in response to the desire of MURRA Alumni to have an Indigenous-led Centre that can deliver business education, research and on-Country initiatives for the benefit of the community. This is achieved through three streams of activity – Programs, Research and Engagement.

Think in Colour had the pleasure of bringing their Snapshot 4.0 Report to life with a simple and elegant video that lives beside the detailed report on their website, increasing engagement and accessibility of information.

In 2020, Think in Colour assisted Sport at LaTrobe with this short introduction video for their website and social media. We created this as an easy way for their existing and potential customers and participants to get a quick, engaging overview of all the different services and programs they provide and who can access them.

“Think in Colour was able to work with us on translating a multifaceted sport program and health and fitness offering at La Trobe University, into an engaging graphic recording which spoke to all of our audiences. From consultation to final production Jessamy and her team were both professional and easy to work with, showing client care the whole way through. Importantly we were delighted with the final product” Bronwyn Neeson – Senior Manager, Industry and Engagement, LaTrobe University

In 2017, Think in Colour collaborated with the Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention & Legal Service Victoria (now Djirra) to create this resource for young people about what healthy relationships do and don’t look like, and how to recognise red flags when they arise. The video was part of an online campaign designed to teach young women that emotional abuse is not ok.

Djirra CEO, Antoinette Braybrook said: “What’s innovative about this campaign is that it educates our girls about the warning signs, while also bringing positive relationships into the spotlight – highlighting culture as a protective factor and encouraging our girls to draw strength from family and friends.”

The campaign was featured on the SBS NITV news site.

This Australian Research Council Linkage project, in partnership with Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth), Social Traders, and the Foundation for Young Australians, investigates how social enterprises affect the social determinants of health (SDOH) equities for young people experiencing disadvantage. The findings show that Work Integration Social Enterprise (WISE) models have a positive influence on SDOH equity for young people, particularly at the level of individual behaviours and daily living, and on intermediating conditions such as social and professional relationships. Read more.

We need to listen to the evidence from science and human experience. We need to learn from the past… and most of all, we need to include everyone in the conversation.
