About Jamie

Jamie’s love for illustration has always been strong but it wasn’t until he studied Anatomy in his Bachelor of Science that he recognised it as something he wanted to do. In this class he would spend hours drawing the human figure and all the cool details of the musculo- skeletal systems. In 2009 Jamie corrected his career trajectory and studied Communication Design at RMIT – a much better fit, and for the past 10 years he has worked as a designer, illustrator, mural painter and graphic scribe. Spanning government, corporate and community sectors, this work has enabled Jamie to travel extensively throughout Australia and overseas. A career highlight has been scribing at the United Nations in New York for the 2018 Global Youth Summit.

Jamie’s work is inspired by the natural world and all the weird and wonderful creatures within it. He is interested in creating narrative-driven worlds with colourful characters that fall somewhere between cute and bizarre. Jamie enjoys working in analog and digital mediums across small and large formats, from brand marks to sky high murals.
