Achieve Fest, run by Prince’s Trust Australia, is a free, two-day online immersion designed to explore identity, build networks, and develop the skills needed to thrive now and into the future.

It is open to young people aged 12 to 24 years, educators, and parents/guardians across Australia.

Throughout 2020 and 2021, Think in Colour supported Achieve Fest through graphic recording, as well as a 5min “intro to visual note-taking” at the start of the event to encourage participants to use these skills for their own note-taking.

We also created these “how-to” videos to make the process easy to navigate for teachers, young people and parents/carers alike.

“Jessamy and the Team at Think In Colour are always a pleasure to work with. We make sure all our online events are graphically recorded now! Watching Jessamy operate live is always inspiring and adds a dynamic element to any workshop or presentation. The images and videos produced are great visual assets to utilise across a range of comms and reports.” Asitha Bandaranayaka, Prince’s Trust

“In our own words” is a systemic inquiry into the lived experience of children and young people in the Victoria out-of-home care system. Through this report, children and young people – the true experts in the system – told us what is required to make it better.

In 2019, Think in Colour collaborated with the Commission for Children and Young People to create an illustrated version of the report, bringing the young people’s words to life and presenting their ideas and aspirations back to them in a medium that’s engaging and easily digestible.

The findings were also tabled in the Victorian Parliament on Wednesday 27 November 2019.
